The Palatinate Mooting League is a newly established inter varsity mooting group.
The aim of the League is to get northern universities together and encourage mooting.
At the moment the League has 5 member universities: Durham, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Warwick, but it
it is hoped that it will grow to become one of England's most prominent inter varsity competitions. Both Cambridge and
Buckingham should be joining next year.
March 2000 competition
This year's competition was held on the 4th of March between 14:30-17:30 in the Senate Chamber, Old Shire Hall, Durham.
The competition was judged by local barrister, Martin Towers. Durham, Nottingham, Manchester and Warwick took part.
Manchester won at the end of the day, with the Durham team a close second.
